Day 365/365 - The Final Photo of 2011

Last year around this time I was getting ready to embark on a photo journey. Little did I know this would teach me more about photography that I could ever imagine. Even though this was a lot of work, this was really fun. I was able to take my passion of photography and do something with it every single day of 2011. My goal was to have fun and learn, and that's exactly what I did.

Another cool thing about this project is that I can look back at all the photo's and associate each day of the year with what I was feeling at that specific moment. How often are you given the opportunity to do that.

I want to thank everyone for their Facebook likes, their comments and the wonderful words. I have seen comments from familiar people, and comments from people I know but haven't seen in over 20 years. It's great to know that this project was seen by so many of my friends.

I hope to take what I've learned and make a business out of it. Photography (along with Technology) is my passion, and doing what you love doesn't feel like work at all.

Day 361/365 - What The Flarp?

Here is a photo of one of the many things Santa left for my kids in their stocking. It's noise putty that's called FLARP. It makes sounds when you squeeze or squish it. It resembles the sounds of flatulence. I was very temped to attach a sound bit of it to this post, but I didn't ;) It's actually quite funny, so I'll leave it up to you to search Youtube.

Day 358/365 - Ashley's Favorite Ornament

Tonight was the night of our annual Christmas Eve gathering at my Sister In-Law's. I had my Niece/God-Child Ashley pick out her favorite ornament on her Christmas tree. It was tricky focusing the camera on this one, I hope she likes it :)

Day 347/365 - "Let Us" See A Bird

In an effort to be a little artsy, I photographed some lettuce. After processing it with the 100 Camera's in 1 app, I saw a bird in this photo. Do you see it? I don't mean the kind you see during rush hour traffic from the driver in the car behind you.

Day 346/365 - Ice Cubes

My wife gave me an idea for ice cubes so I took a photo of the ones that were in my glass for dinner this evening. With the help from Apple iCloud and my photo stream, I was able to edit the photo on my iPad with the 100 Camera's In 1 app to give it a really cool look. I hope you enjoy!

Day 345/365 - Holiday Photo

Today I took a photo of my kids that will be used on the holiday card we send out to friends and family. We used the green screen in the studio and added the background afterwards. I love working with green screen.

Day 344/365 - The Case Of The Eaten Donut

Some people have a lot of nerve. Look at this picture of some yummy looking donuts. Apparently they are too yummy because if you look carefully you will see a half eaten one in the package that is on the shelf at a local Target. I couldn't believe my eyes so I had to make this my photo for today.

Tonight my daughter and I had some together time, so we decided to do some arts and crafts type stuff. She had me trace my hand. I drew in the knuckle lines and the skin tone color and she painted the nails different colors. Hey wait a second, my nails shouldn't be painted.

Day 333/365 - Charity

These containers are put there for a good purpose. They say Donate Clothes and Shoes, and there are Bed Posts and Mirror's. They say Book Recycling and there's a stuffed animal and a television. Come on you inconsiderate lazy people, can't you freaking read? It's people like you that make this world a mess. Please dispose of your stuff the responsible way and don't bring the people or companies that are trying to make a difference into it.

Day 325/365 - Made History

When you see someone walking down the street with a pair of these hanging from their head, what is your first thought? What's the device or family of devices that you first think of? The Creative Rio or the Sony Walkman? Yea right! A lot of people (mostly younger folk) that use an iPod don't realize how much this creation has changed the way we listen to music. Great work Apple, but don't let us down now that the creator is watching over from the big orchard in the sky.

Day 318/365 - Bubbles

The photo for Day 317 was not an actual photo of the stars. It was a photo of bubbles from my kids bubble bath. I had the flash on and took the photo up close with my iPhone. I then adjusted the exposure, contrast and the amount of black in the photo during post-processing. All the star like objects were the result of the flash's reflection in each bubble. Pretty cool effect huh? Thank you to those that participated in my trick photo.
